Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Hirz collects, why, and the choices you have. Hirz is a job-search assistant: to work, it needs the career information you give it. We never sell your data.
Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email, and authentication details (via our auth provider). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- Profile data: everything you add to your profile, including uploaded CVs, imported LinkedIn text, GitHub projects, work history, skills, and preferences.
- Generated content: tailored CVs, cover letters, emails, and answers produced for your applications, plus the record of applications you send or track.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Paddle). We store only a subscription reference and status, never your full card details.
- Operational logs: minimal technical logs and error reports used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
We use your data only to provide the service: to build your profile, match you to jobs, generate tailored application documents, and, when you enable it, send applications on your behalf. Documents are generated strictly from the facts in your profile.
Processors we share it with
We use a small set of infrastructure providers strictly to run Hirz, under their data processing terms: a database host (Neon), object storage (Cloudflare R2), a background-job runner (Trigger.dev), a language-model provider accessed with zero data retention configured (OpenRouter), email delivery (Resend), and error monitoring (Sentry). We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not use it to train models.
Job data sources
Job listings come only from legitimate public APIs and official ATS feeds (for example Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Remotive, RemoteOK, and Adzuna). We do not scrape sites whose terms forbid it.
Your rights
You can export all of your data as a file, or delete your account and all associated data, at any time from Settings. Deletion runs after a short grace window (so an accidental request can be cancelled), then permanently removes your data. You can also correct or remove any individual profile item directly.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we purge it; we retain only what the law requires (for example anonymized billing records) and a minimal, non-identifying proof that the deletion was carried out.
